How we calculate
Every estimate is a yearly figure built from each card's published earn rates, caps, minimum-spend rules and annual fee, applied to the monthly spending you enter.
What we count
- Base and bonus earn rates by spending category, as stated in each bank's current terms.
- Monthly or quarterly bonus caps, and minimum-spend thresholds that unlock bonuses.
- The annual fee (you can switch this off if you expect a waiver).
- For miles cards, KrisFlyer miles valued at the cents-per-mile you choose (1.5¢ by default).
What we leave out, on purpose
- Merchant-specific deals (for example, extra cashback at one supermarket chain or petrol brand). We only count bonuses that apply to a whole category, so we don't overstate what a card earns.
- Welcome offers and time-limited promotions. They change constantly and only apply once.
- Rounding into S$5 blocks. Many miles cards award points per S$5 per transaction; this trims a little off real earnings.
- Conversion fees. Most banks charge about S$25 to S$27 per transfer to KrisFlyer.
- Bills, insurance, tax, rent and wallet top-ups. Most cards earn nothing on these, so we treat them as earning nothing unless a card rewards them explicitly.
Assumptions you should know
- Your spending is the same every month. Cards with quarterly rules (UOB One, HSBC Live+) need you to hit the minimum in every month of the quarter.
- UOB One assumes you make at least 10 transactions a month.
- Where a bank's terms are ambiguous, we take the less generous reading and say so on the card's page.
- Miles are shown in KrisFlyer miles. HSBC's own headline rates use Asia Miles, which convert at a better ratio.
Where the data comes from
Each card page lists the official bank pages and terms documents we checked, and the date. Data last verified 27 Oct 2026.
